My stacked switches port designation format doesn't match cmsh/cmgui. How do I record which ports are uplinks?

You may have uplink ports that are designated as 0/41, 0/42, 1/41, 1/42 and so on (0th switch, port 41 and 42, 1st switch, 41 and 42).

This "/" format designation is a non-numeric format. However, there is always a numeric representation of these ports. How this translation goes depends on the switch manufacturer, but it's pretty easy to find out how these ports are named by plugging a machine with a known MAC address (e.g. your laptop) into one of these ports and then using the 'device showport' command in CMSH with that MAC address. For example, you may see that port 1/41 translates to 693. Usually there is some logic behind it, so if you try a few ports you can probably figure out the system that the switch uses to translate these port numbers.
